Marriage of a Minor Girl
Translation
And those who have no expectation of menstruation among your women, if you are in doubt, their waiting period is three months, and [also] for those who have not menstruated; and for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him ease in his affair.
Explanation
Allah the Exalted explains the waiting period for the woman who has lost hope of menstruation due to old age: it is three months, replacing the three menstrual cycles required for those who menstruate, as indicated in the verse in Surah Al-Baqarah. Similarly, for young girls who have not reached the age of menstruation, their waiting period is like that of the one who has lost hope of menstruation - three months; and for this reason He says: 'and those who have not menstruated.' And for pregnant women, their waiting period extends until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah, He will make ease for him in his affair.
