Verse of Striking Wives

Arabic original

﴿وَاللَّاتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ ۖ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلًا﴾ [النساء: 34]

Translation

But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then] forsake them in bed; and [finally] strike them." [An-Nisa: 34]
