اَلْحَج وَاجِبٌ عَلَى الْأحْرَارِ الْبَالِغِيْنَ الْعُقَلَاءِ الأَصِحَاءِ إِذَا قَدَرُوا عَلَى الزَّادِ وَالرَّاحِلَةِ فَاضِلًا عَنِ الْمَسْكَن وَ مَا لَا بُدَّمِنْهُ وَعَنْ نَفَقَةِ عَيَالِهِ إِلى حِيْنَ عَودِهِ وَ دَ الطَّرِيق مِنَّا وَصَفَهُ بِالْوُجُوبِ وَهُوَ فَرِيضَةً مُحكمةٌ ثَبَتَ فَرْضِيَّتُهَا بِالْكِتَابِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُهُ وَلِلهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ الآية
Translation: Hajj is obligatory on such men who are free, mature, sane, healthy, while they are capable of birth and departure, provided that they have sufficient housing and necessities and support for their families until their return, and there is peace on the way.

Commentary Sahib Qaduri says that Hajj is obligatory on a person who is free, mature, sane, and healthy, provided that he is able to bear the burden of rebirth and departure, and that he is free from the expenses of his family and his family members. Sahib Hidayah says that Qaduri has used the word Wajub for Hajj, although Hajj is a definite obligation, its obligation is in the Book of Allah, i.e. وَلِلهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ الآية
